Academics Academic Achievement High grades consistent with high achievement test results testify to a focus on academic excellence at TAA. Alumni of the school provide further evidence that the quality of education at TAA prepares students for lifelong service. Alumni hold positions in many, if not all, professional fields - medicine, government and education, to name a few. Many are active in their local churches. Accreditation
a. Application forms must be submitted. Forms b. Parent and student must be interviewed by the principal and teacher. c. Transfer students are accepted on probationary status until an official transcript is received by the admissions committee. d. All transfer students are subject to review by the admissions committee. TAA will not accept students who are married, even if they have attended TAA previously. Any student who marries during the school year will be asked to withdraw.TAA will not accept students who are pregnant, even if they have attended TAA previously. A recommendation for student withdrawal will be presented to the executive committee of the school board for any student who becomes pregnant during the school year. Application Subject to Board Approval: Final action on all applications for admission are subject to acceptance by the Academy Board. Medical Examination: A complete medical examination for all new students and students entering grades 1, 4, 7, 9, is required at registration. Forms are available at the school. Immunization records, by state law, are required to be presented and placed on file at Tidewater Adventist Academy within two weeks of the start of school. Unpaid Student Accounts: All accounts must be settled from the previous year, unless suitable arrangements have been made with the Academy Board. Student Equality: It is the policy of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in all its church operated schools in the United States to admit students on any race, national origin, or gender to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at school. We make no discrimination on the basis of race in administration of education, policies, applications for admission, and athletic or extracurricular programs.
